Mine keeps getting longer. What is actually enough before kick-off?

Why don't we show coach names?
For U10s, I would aim for about a minute of useful information rather than a long speech. They do not need the whole match explained before it starts. Give them one or two reminders linked to what you have been working on, make sure they know the basic organisation, then let them play. If something needs ten minutes to explain, I would rather coach it in training. I also like one player question before kick-off: “What are we trying to be good at today?” That tells you whether the message has landed. A team talk should settle the group, not fill their heads. At this age, the opening minutes of the game will teach you more than another five minutes of talking in a huddle.
